Yeah, comes from going with whatever color feels right. It's amazing the thoughts that goes through ones head when choosing color. Like "Yep, that looks good. Reminds me of the day I went to the park and fell off the monkey bars. The bars were dark brown. The cement brand new gray. Dirt was softer brown. The color of the pain was bright white...."

I'm kidding. NAWT!!

...against the blue sky and the trees, mountains and buildings that frame it. I take lots of shallow breaths because otherwise I would throw up and slowly the white turns to black, and slowly back to normal vision.

I think I feel nauseous.

I really like the words you've written across the images, especially some of the contradictions. These are such honest, open drawings that show a real vulnerability blended with strength. I think i've looked at them probably eight or ten times now and each time i read or see something i didn't see before. I'd really love to see the originals. I hope you have them framed and displayed.

I have the originals in a portfolio book with plastic sleeves, so they are safe. Most of my work, however, isn't that well protected. Framing costs money and I don't have the time or patience to be framing and putting them out there. When I created these it was a time of coming together inside of myself. I hadn't done any real art in years. Things had been frozen in time and this helped me unfreeze them. Thank you so much for your feedback CV. I 'm glad they speak to you.
